I usually go to my neighbor's and get my horsey fix when I don't go to the stables. They went on vacation for 2 weeks and took the horses with them. I had been working in the yard all day, but really missing riding at the same time. I went around back, flipped over a 55 gallon barrel and started practicing doing transitions. Walk, trot, canter. The neighbors looked at me like I was nutts. Glad I didn't try to yield the hindquarters.

I'm a total addict as well! I have to ride at least twice a week or I go crazy. Lol

Yield the hindquarters! You should have xD

I'm about over 2 weeks overdue from my last lesson. Missed one week due to finances-$250 vet bills for the bunnybutts, I'm still cringing from that.. and last week from Bronchitis. Which I still have. I'm not contagious or dying anymore though! :)

So I'm going over on Monday! Finally. I was watching this Live hunter/jumper competition tonight and I found myself moving with the rhythm of the horses a little. But when I felt the need to post in my chair I stopped. XD

It's hard to be addicted when you only ride once in a blue moon, but I've somehow managed it . I want to go riding so badly right now, but I can't.

    Started
It's been over a week since my last ride (I am out of state for training ATM) and I had a dream last night that I trailered my horse somewhere, dropped off the trailer without taking him out and forgot about him for several days. I then spent the rest of the dream frantically searching and trying to find where I had put my horse and my trailer.

    Riding and horse withdrawal. Check.

    Trained
Almost 5 months for me and another 5 to go!! Sold my competition gelding so I could focus on finishing off my studies. Spending 12+ contact hours at the academy plus more at home and having to keep my fitness up. Surviving off 4-5 hours sleep/night. Definitely not enough hours in the day to be riding as well do even though I miss it, I'm too busy to have withdrawals!!!!!
On the plus side my 'baby' will be 3 in October, off to the breakers in December so I can just hop on and enjoy at the end if Jan when I'm 'free'
