Road to the Horse 2011

Did you all see that the Road to the Horse colt starting challenge this year will have Clinton Anderson, Chris Cox, and Pat Parelli?
I think there will be more competitive testosterone in that arena than even the super bowl.

I have no doubt it will be a competition between Cox and Anderson. Just my opinion

Nashville, in the Coliseum.

I agree totally. PP fans keep saying he lost last time because he chose the most difficult gelding on purpose.....

Do you think the person who wins is necessarily the best horseman? I would guess the judges are extremely knowledgeable. All I know is I think it will be very entertaining and I wish I was going!

My bet is for CA (hey, he is pretty good lookin )

I don't think the winner is necessarily the best horseman, because the task is to train one horse. To be a good horseman, in my opinion, you need to be able to train, ride, and show a variety of horses. Just because you can train the best horse out of the litter, doesn;t mean that you could have trained all of them to the best of their abilities.

I will sort of be hoping for CA to win.....like I said-either CA or CC-just NOT PP please.....and yes, CA is definitely the easiest on the eyes....

I don't think it's applicable in competitions like that. I simply do not think there is such a thing at all. There are bad, good, and excellent. There are no "best" as everyone has own method and approach to the horse (and speed like in this competition has nothing to do with it).

Frank, I think it's hilarious! "didn't win because picked the most difficult horse" bahahahahahaha! I wonder if he himself gave any explanation... And BTW, I'd laugh on that excuse for any trainer (be it PP, CA, CC, Cameron, etc...)
