When passing through Kentucky be sure to stop at the Kentucky Horse Park. They have a nice horse museum and house many ex-racers and breed types, its in Lexington. The Keenland race track is also there and really pretty. I think they do some tours of the local horse farm at certain times of the year too. Just a really beautiful area with lots of huge horse farms. There is a TB retirement farm north of Lexington I always wanted to tour but never got the time to, yet.

If you go through TN definitely check out the sites in Lynchburg (TN Walker Museum) and in Shelbyville (home of the TN Walking Horse championship shows).
