Rookie-
Yes, But I am not one of those people especially since my dad is a detective lol:]

Everyone-
I looked into building one but my parents said that if I built one I could not take it with me if we ever moved and I want to be able to have a round pen all the time, and not have to raise all the money again. Thanks again everyone, I am still completely open to suggestions:]

See if you can find cull telephone poles. They sell them many places, such as Deep South for 1 a foot, or used to.

That would give you something for posts, and then could put boards up. Might also see if anyone has old barn to tear down?

Horses make me a better person.

We always look for old horse/cattle farms to get corral panels. These days a lot of kids don't want to continue the family farm and you can pick up the panels for cheap. Some are a bit beat up, but who cares. Great for round pens and riding rings.

where do you find these panels/pens? I have looked everywhere and can't find any of them less than 100 dollars each for USED ones! I think that is rediculous, so, what should I do? Again I am not building one in case I ever move.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, keep em comin' :]

good idea LeahKathline. I have been telling my parents that, but they keep saying people will spam me. I am going to keep trying to convince them:]

Well, CraigsList provides an anonymous email address for people to reply to that will still come into you inbox. It's possible that you will receive some spam emails, but you don't have to answer them and give them your actual email address, or maybe you could set up a separate email account just for Craigslist . That's what I do, because I don't want strangers having my real email.

When driving around here in the country, we keep an eye out for pens/rings/corrals without animal in them. If we see any, we stop and ask if they would sell them. You can also ask/post at feed stores. In rural places, things happen most by word of mouth. Let everyone know you're looking for some.
