Today i went for a ride on my pony JJ and after it was done (we had a fantastic lesson by the way) my trainer told me that there were people coming from California to look at him and another pony named Mia. It was so sudden. This might of been the last time i get to ride him cause they will probably take him soon if they like him. But ill have to wait and see.

Awww JJB, sorry to hear that. We get so very attached don't we. I always looked at it as an opportunity to grow and be challenged by another horse. Though to be truthful, never got real attached until T, and that took a few years of working with her. Who knows, maybe they won't buy her, but that does mean that in the future another buyer could come along. ....big sigh...yup sometimes life kinda sucks. :-(

I am so sorry JellyBean!!!!!! **HUGS** I know how hard it is, I got attached to Nelson before he was mine, and whenever his previous owner would tell me that potential buyers were coming to try him out, I'd get this huge lump in my throat and sick to my tummy.

Is there anyway that your parents can buy JJ for you??? Or can you do a lease program where the contract states that JJ cannot be sold out from under you?

I wish there were someting I could do for you, but keep in mind - what is meant to happen will happen. Maybe JJ taught you everything he needed to give to you, and it is his time to move on to give another fortunate kid what they need to learn.

Maybe your next fabulous mount, is now ready for you and is waiting for you to find him/her -

Just food for thought. Keep your chin up!

JJB I've got the same problem. Someone wants to buy Rocket, and now I have to decide whether to sell him. You sound as though you have a bigger problem. I hope everything works out ok.

That's so sad. I went through something just like that when I was taking lessons when I was a kid. They were selling my favorite horse and the last day I saw him I took over an hour to say good-bye. It's hard, but try to remember the good times you had together and understand that the more horses you ride the better rider you will be. Hang in there
