"The Saddle Club"

There's a show on discovery kids called "The Saddle Club". I'm sure a few of you have heard of it.. and those of you who have; doesn't it seem like the "riders" in the show are kind of novice?
I'm watching an episode right now and the girls lower leg is nowhere near far back enough.. and she's cantering & her legs are flopping around. Also, her horse reared and she screamed.. I know that part is scripted but, don't the people on the show know how that's the worst thing to do?

Anybody agree? Why? Anyone disagree?

Its a show...the horses are 'stunt horses' their trained to do all that sort of stuff, so their for I don't really think it's that bad. I know in really life it it the worst thing to do..Scream. But the little kids watching don't know that, well I guess it could course some drama if the children went out to ride & used what they'd seen on the saddle club but I highly doubt there's many situations where that's the case. Before I rode, when I was like 4/5 I loved the show lol :)

Yeah I also (not not sure if different over there where you are) but here they just got new characters for all the roles. So I guess they'll get better as they go along in the series. :) lol

I used to watch it and constantly critique the riders. I definitely spoiled it for my friends, lol! I used to dream about getting a job as the stunt double for a show like that. Still do! Lol. At least then sometiems it would be someone who knew how to ride!

Hehe yeah now Zach, my one year old brother watches it lol & im always explaining what they should be doing with the horse lol

The books were SO much better :(

I believe the girl who plays Veronica is the only one who actually rides. (If I remember correctly she has a horse that she competes)

Ah I know, I had all the books! Plus the Pine Hollow ones that came after.

They can't ride at all, which is a shame cause I know plenty cute little girls that ride =)

I know! I know a six year old who has her own pony and can jump 3 ft and gallop.. it isn't that hard to find kids that can actually ride..
I mean, I don't get why they'd cast them if it was a show about riding and they can't ride..? It's kinda stupid.
