This weekend I brought my greenie to a jumper rally and he surprised me with a second and a sixth in the Beginner Novice division!

At my last show with the Mules, (btw, we do English, Western, Driving, Showmanship... the whole deal!) I won a 5Star contour saddle pad, Saddle Bags, a few brushes, hoof picks, tail bags, shampoo.... all kinds of stuff

Won a 50 dollar gift card to a tack shop riding my baby Cowboy in Hunters
( I do the horses in English, the Mules in everything else. I ride my trainer's mules. Don't have any of my own, though. Just 3 horses ;))

Equinifile - That's a pretty picture!! Family take it, or did you buy it?

brought my moms just turned 3 year old to a horse show first time in an arena, and we did a class because they needed another person and so i thought okay why not he can get more expirence! it was musical hoops and the music scared him and he ran into the center of the ring (not sapposota be in the center) and one after another they got out and two people left and we were one of them! he did pretty good i was jumping off when he was still going he freaked out a little at first but did good after that. and the other person ran to the ring and jumped off his horse while he was running! so i let him win, but i got a hay bag out of 10 different things, and he got a 18qt bucket. and he did the other games really well too! only 3 months undersaddle.

My 5 year old gelding has been running 1.5 seconds off the fastest time at shows with 300 some riders and has been a second off at smaller shows, in barrel racing. I got him completely broke and ready to start on barrels 6 months ago and was told he wouldn't be fast enough ;) I started him myself and picked him out on my own, I'm proud of that.
In a few weeks I've got my new mare froma trying to pull your arms out of your sockets and trotting around with head in air fast as can be, to cantering circles nice and easy and trotting pretty, slow and collected.

I never kept any ribbons I won from fair, except the Grand Champion and Reserve GC ribbons I won my last year in it. GC was for Hunter Hack on my barrel horse and RGC was for Jumping same horse, I don't own her now though. My shows I get money and sometimes I'm just handed a check, but usually its in an envelope and I keep the envelopes if I remember to.

Taped to my wall, won with a few different horses

Wow that's awesome everyone!! Harleywood, that's so cool that you guys did so well since your horse hadn't been under saddle very long!!

I won the horsemanship class at fair last year. Over quite a few respectable riders, too! (beat my trainer's kid...) Got a ribbon, trophy, and money! Hopefully I can do just as well this year, since it's my first year doing sr. horsemanship! (I'll be with the big girls )
The same day, we got 2nd in barrels and 3rd in poles. And we'd only run the barrel pattern twice before, and we'd never run the pole pattern until the warmup ring right before the class! We ran a little over 1 second off the leader in barrels and we beat some barrel racers that rodeo every weekend.. Then in poles we were 2.5 seconds off the winner! Pretty proud of my little horse ;)
One time I won a jr. western pleasure class once at a regional show 2 seasons ago with my trainer's horse! Even though it may not count since it's not my own horse ;). I won a buckle, a saddle cross, and a feed bucket full of candy, stable stuff, and horse treats!! (the candy was the best part! )

Baby Girl and I have won some nice stuff doing CTRs with NATRC. We've never placed lower than second in a year and a half competing. Baby Girl was undefeated in the Novice division in 2011. She's also won two high point SSH ribbons! At year end awards for 2011, we were high point novice horse, rider, and team. We also won the Shannon Memorial, which is awarded to an "extraordinary" Novice rider every couple of years. We got a lovely blanket for that!

We ended up third in the nation in 2011 (unoffically, since they don't give Novice nation awards) and are working on being in top six Open juniors this year.

We also have ONE ACTHA ribbon. A yellow third place won in a full Open class!

Bragging feels good.

Well, at my first real show last year I won three thirds, a fourth, and a fifth. (The thirds were out of four, the fourth and fifth were out of nine, I think).

Not spectacular, but it was my first real show, so I thought it was at least decent.

Also, in my mind I won the unofficial "Most Spectacular Fail" award, for managing to lose my left stirrup for a whole class.

Yes, I am that amazing!

Brighteyes, that's amazing. I'm sure you'll meet your goal!

More pictures of pretty awards, everyone! I'll try to get a pic of my amazing ribbon display.

I've won the greatest competition of my life over the last few years - I raced with my fears and my old self on Snickers, and we beat them mercilessly. :)

I have come a long way, to surrender my shadow to the shadow of my horse.
