I took the Arab gelding out again yesterday, and he was not quite so crazy in the round pen, actually got some nice trot on him. He is hopefully going to get his feet done on Tuesday, and I can really let him go, but poor baby doesn't know where his feet are. He did stand nicely in the cross ties while I bathed him for like an hour getting all the mud off of him. He moves like a Saddlebred too, feet as high as he can pick them up, and his feet are long like some of the saddlebred show horse's feet are, so I'm hoping once they are trimmed up a bit, he won't be so wild with picking up his feet. He does honestly though look like a horse who may be good as a saddleseat mount. Very big knee and hock action, he has those mile long legs, and very flashy. I'm not a huge fan of saddleseat, but if he's got that natural action already, maybe perfect for someone looking for a horse to take in that direction.
