I reckon she misses you :)

Then that could be part of the problem. Horses need the company and companionship of other horses for proper social interaction. Her aggressive display toward you could be frustration at her own living arrangements.

Why not put Blokie in the paddocm with her? Sure you have to mini-proof the yard a bit lol.

I really think you are looking into it way too much. She is a happy horse at a happy place. She isnt 'aggressive' there is no way in the world sophie could be aggressive. She has companions, Her and the horse next to her are like boyfriend and girlfriend.

You are assigning an extremely complex thought and emotional process to your horse, requiring the implication of a concept of jealousy and revenge, and yet I am the one looking too much into things for suggesting that your horse's bad behavior stems from her unnatural and unhappy living situation? I suggest you do far more studying of equine psychology, behavior, and herd dynamics.

Agressive : Ready or likely to attack or confront

She was not going to attack me.

What would a bite be then, if not an attack?

Horses don't have to be charging at you, rearing and striking for it to be an attack - a simple bite or kick will do it to.
