Shedding! So exciting!

I'm so excited for when Lacey finishes shedding!

The first summer I had her she was plain "white" with really light, lame-o "fleabites" and none of her little spots showed through her winter coat. Then last summer she had the most beautiful, classy, steel gray flea bitten spots all over and she even showed herself to have a small "bloody shoulder" marking. Then, as she grew her winter coat, she kept a few darker spots, like the "bloody shoulder."

So, needless to say, I'm VERY excited to see how she's changed this winter. Her winter coat grew in with a very dark spot right on her bum so I'm hoping for another "bloody shoulder" right there and then I'm hoping that her original "bloody shoulder" is bigger!

I took a ton of pictures of her last summer so I can compare her to herself really well, which is another exciting bit: photo documentation! I absolutely love photo documentation.

Lacey's a beautiful lady in whatever she wears but I love her classy spots!

Does anybody else have a horse that changes colors and that they're excited about? What changes are you hoping for?

Oh, yeah. I have a gray that changes colors every year too. I wonder how white he will shed out and if any more of his fleabites will be visible. Of course, they are hard to see anyway because they are buckskin colored but they are spreading. I am also wanting to see what Rafe's summer coat is gonna look like. He still had the fuzzy soft weanling fur when he started growing in his winter coat. I want to see him all slicked off with his "grown up" hair. LOL. I also want his mane to go ahead and lay over to the side. It looks like its going to go to the right. Most of the way anyway :D.

I'm excited for both of my guys =D

Kainne just gets really dark and pretty..he's just a bay but I still get excited! He's a lot lighter in the summer.

Buddy is a red dun and is a darker orangey colour in the winter and sheds out to be..I call it naked, hahaha, he looks like he's running around naked, it's kind of a skin colour, and his dark points stand out a lot more.

I'll miss seeing Rocky change colours (he was sold over the winter). He's a chocolate palomino and in the winter he's usually a similar colour to his mane and tail (sort of a dirty blonde colour) with dapples and then in the summer anything can go. One summer he was pitch black with almost no visible dapples, sometimes he's a chocolate brown with a lot of dapples, sometimes he's a dark chocolate with dapples just on his butt..and he's basically done any variation between those. It's always been fun to see how he turns out. No matter which way it goes, he always looks gorgeous.
