I just can't help myself, it's not just horse stuff, but its a lot of it lol. I find myself rushing home before my boyfriend so I cam get the mail or UPS package in the car before he gets home, then take it to the barn so he doesn't ever see it. I bought a used stubben for a steal of a price on Craigslist in October and he still doesn't know. When I shop on amazon I have to spend 25 so I get that free shipping, so I end up getting stuff I didn't need lol. I could go on, but I'm typing on my phone and its a pain...so please share your guilt and shame here so I don't feel so alone :P

I try to buy up everything I think I may one day need :p
It's mainly only horse stuff, I don't like shopping for anything else xD
I have just about everything I'll ever want to use (except saddle pad, lol), and I end up trying to get my mum to buy extra breast collars, girths, bridles, bits, etc. She usually caves and buys everything that I don't already have, but I feel bad since we're short on money during the lay-over months between construction jobs, but I just can't help asking!
So, not really a "shop-a-holic", just a -huge- tack-a-holic, haha.
Not to mention I'm always looking for a horse to pick up, even though I know we really don't have the money (even if I get a job) to take care of board/farrier/vet. :p
If I had my own money I would t be trying to hide my packages though, because I mean..I made the money, I can use it on whatever I want, even if I'll never use it xD

Uh... I thought I was the only one who did that.
My weakness is books. Anything and everything that interests me beyond horses. Not inexpensive fiction mind you, but meaty reference and how to books. Hey, I might want to cook something using a pressure cooker someday, or need to know how to build a well myself, or how to plow a field with an antique tractor. At least that is the rationell I use. LOL

Tack websites... oh boy...well I stock up on things I know will one day be handy to have. And if they are on sale... oh lord help my credit cards!

Can you send me some of the shop-a-AA meeting addresses? I deperately need them too.

My biggest shopping addiction is makeup and more recently, horse supplies. I finally came to a compromise with makeup... I'm wearing less and only purchasing foundation and mascara when I run out. I swear, they are the 2 most expensive habits lol. I can walk into sephora and spend half my paycheck on 3 things....

The horse supplies are more reasonable because I literally have not bought horse things (besides feed) in over 10 years. I recently bought new water buckets, some new tack, and new halters. I think I'm finished for the time being though I do have my eye on a pulling breast collar. And eventually I'd like to get a leather flank cinch rather than the nylon one I just got. But I also have to remember that the nylon works fine and the only reason I want a new one is for the "look" :/.

I'm keeping a journal of everything i'm spending on the horses. I write down everything, even if its just a curb strap I got for a few bucks. I'm hoping this month I'm only going to spend on feed or necessities. It's hard though, now I feel like I need new everything, have my eyes on brushes etc. it's so bad! I don't need them though, so I probably wont let myself for awhile.

I'm also making sure to put aside the same amount of money every month that I'm not allowing myself to touch.

I love to interior decorate. I love it so much it kills me. So I'm always buying new stuff for the house. And now that my future motherinlaw is moving in I can decorate for her too! But I make sure my friends don't let me go to the tack shop otherwise I'm screwed when it comes to paying bills for the month. Lol. I do so badly want a new saddle soon!

AHHH somebody help me, I just bought the equine furminator from amazon because it was on $29.00, and well how could I not? The ones I brought for my grooming salon are about half that size and cost between 30-35 lol

I was eyeballing those today too. It is on my wish list, to get me to the "I just can't live without these items any longer" point of breakdown.

I mean it was ONLY $29 right! It says it's normally $137.48, so I mean really How could I pass that up AND, I can always use another furminator at work for big dogs RIGHT!
