The smell of leather.. <3

I noticed my english saddle was covered in dust in my tack room, so I brought it in last night to clean. Its sitting in my garage, and when I walked out this morning to head to work, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful smell of leather! Mmm, I love it so much!!
Its one of those smells that mixes my two passions together- horses and cars! LOL
But seriously, it was nice to walk out to this morning.

Do you love the smell of leather??

I also get great satisfaction from clean tack. Something good about a job well done..as a bonus it might coax me into riding this afternoon since its right there and I don't have to fight the barn bugs to get into my tack room. I havent ridden english in... months.

I am right there with you! When I bought my new truck, I had to get a King Ranch edition just for the saddle leather seats.
My hubby said for the difference in price I should have just bought a few new saddles to keep in a plain f-350 haha!

Nothing smells as good as leather except maybe a warm horse :)

Oh yes, I love the smell of horse. Its so funny to see my hubbys reaction when I push my face into Cooper's shoulder. He swears im insane. Everytime I breathe in horse,it takes me back to horse camp when I was 7.

And yes, I imagine you could have bought a few new saddles for the same price, yet I'm surprised a man would complain in any way that his woman got a king ranch edition! Lol Unless he's intimidated bc his truck isnt as nice? Lol
My hubby has an issue that my WRX is faster than his 350Z, oh well.

He complained because he pays for it lol! It's funny about the "his" truck part...I drive the diesel hog & he drives a hemi charger...no chance I'd win a race there! :(

Nothing better than the smell of a clean tack room filled with leather.

I used to need a 'moment' whenever I walked into the leather wholesaler used by the costume shop where I worked.

When I was in grad school and teaching speech, I had my students do 2 minutes on the best smell in the world. When asked about my best smell, my reply was 'a horse barn on a warm spring afternoon'. I still hold to that. Leather, hay, horses, sweet feed and yes, even pooh, all mingled together. Forget Chanel #5, give me that.

Killing threads since 1996.

Oh, that is so true. I love the smell of leather!!! Love it. And the smell of horse sweat. They used to say that women got turned on by the smell of men's sweat, but it makes me gag. But horse sweat, now that's a different story.

Oh, and I love the sound of leather, too.
