So proud of Casey
I had a great lesson with Casey today, although it first started out a bit boring but in the end, it was a great lesson. First, you should know Casey was broken on the trail, and wasn't ridden in an arena until I got her, three years ago. So, in three years, we went from never being in arena, to doing a walking pirouette! No kidding, I am so proud of Casey. If you watched Casey walk and trot in the arena, you would think, oh she is just a normal horse broken in the arena and all, but when she canters, at least until recently, you would think she is green broke. Something clicked in her mind and she figured out how to canter in the arena about 3 months ago, and about a month ago how to canter a 20 meter circle. It may seem like we are pushing her, but it was my instructor who thought she was ready, and I believe her. Doing a pirouette, even if it is a walking one, feels so great, anyone else agree?
