I think it is terminal although a small piece of me hopes its not just because it's extra horsey funds. I need to remember to count to 10 and breathe. I'm normally a very relaxed person but horse stuff, I have very low tolerance. I'm going into the barn today, no ride for him, and I'm going to talk to Vicki about it all. She's always been there for me through thick and thin and in the end it's her barn and her call. Last night before we left while he was in the bathroom she told me to go home, take a hot shower and just relax and if I needed anything to call her. Then come out today and we'll go over everything and figure things out.

I got in the door though and let out a scream. Scared the dogs, boyfriend jumped...and then I got my shower. My poor punching bag though, I don't think it's ever gotten this much abuse.

Silly me but it sounds like he is flirting with you to me.
In my reply to you I don't mean to sound harsh if I come off that way...I'm not trying to bite your head off or anything.

Now, I don't know this Kevin and there's probably more to it than just this instance, but it doesn't sound like he's all that bad. Annoying, sure, but it could be so much worse. He doesn't sound like he's real horse savvy and non-horse people are bound to do or say stupid things around the barn. I know how much they can try your patience. Maybe he'll learn the hard way and get kicked or stepped on before he finally straightens out. If that's what it takes for him to get the message, so be it.

I'm hoping he gets it fast. Like I said, he's great until he gets to the barn. I'm trying my hardest to keep him from getting seriously injured and the stupid stunt he pulled on Saturday could have easily landed him in the hospital.

Nice metaphor! I never thought of it that way but I can understand how they relate. Thank you for that and that's a beautiful image too.

You sound a lot like me! I love your siggy too by the way!

I hope you can work throught this. I use the barn as my escape from work kids, stress etc...I really don't want to deal with more of that when I am at the barn.
Granted, I do have a 10 yr old child that sometimes doesnt always think be acting. We are working on this & she knows very well what can happen when you fool around , around the horses.

When we talked today and we've come up with a few things that I hope will help.
If he's being childish and obnoxious he'll be asked nicely 3 times to cut it out. If after 3 times he continues he goes home and won't be coming back until he's invited back out. I'm his current ride until his car is fixed so annoying me wouldn't be wise.

If it's just complete lack of common sense he gets a warning before he's sent home. Stupidity around the horses we have a no tolerance policy. You get a warning and that's it. We've given him way too many chances in this category so we're getting a little tough on this one. We also asked the barn lawyer legal guy or maybe it was insurance? (forgot his exact title oops) if he can draw up something that is along the lines of if he puts a horse in danger and something happens all resulting fees and what not are his responsibility and all that stuff. So launching himself onto Sampsons kidneys in attempts to get on him...if something were to happen to sampson in that situation like a kidney burst from knee impact...Kev would be responsible for all vet and medical bills because of it. I think, or at least that's my understanding. I'm hoping that situation was a one time thing but just in case it'll be a safety blanket for my peace of mind.

It's like putting a kid on restriction, sometimes they get it and sometimes they don't. I just hope he's the kind that gets it and gets it fast before someone gets hurt.
In the end Vicki doesn't want to loose Kev's business so she's going to try to make this work with is a good thing.
