Here are a few, at the barn you have lessons at ask if you could do some of the barn chores and such, and maybe ask some of the owners if they need their horses worked out.
Hehe I understand But just keep thinking I want to be around horses and be more involve and just ask her, it won't hurt Yeah but I used to be really shy and never asked until my old trainer said I could help around the place and I was more then happy to, then it led to me having a free lease during the summer. Then I move to a new barn and I was going to wait for a couple of months to ask the owner (untill I got to know her) if I could help out but instead I ended up getting my first Hero at the most unexpected time.
If you are under 18, check out the local 4-H clubs or Pony Clubs. Otherwise, try to find a riding club in your area & get involved. There could be a club that puts on the horse shows or maintains the trails. Whatever discipline you are interested in, there is probably a club locally that would welcome you.
You guys could all arrange to do some kind of fun show with the horses there.
Get really into it and invite everyone who goes to the barn. Could be really fun and would give every one somehing to look forward to
