Oh my god Im so excited I needed to tell you all!!
Were moving to chance to my house by september!! We are doing thing because we are basicly done with my BO. All she wants me to do is her work and when she doesnt need me she doesnt want me there so she wouldnt let me up to the barn these past few days even though I own a horse there so were done!
Soo we are getting our yard surveyed but theres about 2 acres which is perfect for like 1 horse and a goat or something and we measured out a floor plan for the barn is going to be 2 stalls [ 14' x 14' ] a food/tack room [ 14' x 14' ] and a pretty big Aisle way [ 16' x 40' ] im way excited!!! And the barn is going to be beside the house so it wont interfere with the good acre 1/2 for the pasture 8) :)
I have some pictures of the back yard in progress we still have a good 50 ft length wise on each side of our yard to take down and maybe 19 feet in width. I think I said that right..... so we might get a little filly and say chance was pregnet or something. If not we might just get a goat for a friend.
For fencing im thinking about using wood fencing [any ideas how tall is should be??] with a strip of barbed wire on top. I know barbed wire is bad but my aunt will NOT get electric fencing for some reason..
Okay here are the pictures pretty bad but it gives you a basic idea:
Okay were planning on growing some grass and filling in the sand parts with soil ect. And like I said before were still in the progress of cutting down a ton more trees!
^^^^^ once we cut down further back we are going to be putting the barn there so she still has the pasture!
^^ this is where the pool use to be so that all need to be filled in.
Im pretty excited!
this week ill take some pictures of how its progressing! Along with some pictures of where I can take chance riding on trails ect!
The yard needs a lot of work but once it gets done ill be soo happy! So a ton more pictures to come. I need as much advice as I can get from those who keep horses are there house!
How much hay and grain should I get like to last a at least 2 months. I already have a manure fork and wheel barrel for stalls I can buy shaving at a local tack shop along with some feed [grain] we just need to find a place to get hay. For manure were going to maybe use it on our own yard along with selling it to nurseries and who ever else will take it :)
