OMG! I'm so excited! well more nervous than excited really, lol! I'm taking Onyx to the sport pony inspection on monday! I'm confident he will do wonderful, :) more afraid i might trip when leading him out! lol! Seams like something I would do.... Its being help at Cocolalla Creek Sport Horse, this stable is amazing and they are the best stable in Idaho with the nicest horses by far, I have talked to Marion O'Connor (owner) over e-mail and i'm trying to get her to let me come out and take pictures of her horses! she's kinda a scary, intimidating woman so i'm going to wait tell mondey to ask her in person, I made flyer's for my photography and my trainer gave one to her and said she really liked it. :) her horses are so beautiful i could take pictures of them all day! here is there web site if you want to check it out! they breed Warmblood's and the warmblood inspection in the same day, also i'm going trough the RPSI Sport Pony as the American Sport Pony inspection is 400 miles away.... but i would also like to someday take Onyx to it as well.

a few pictures of Onyx.

I almost resorted to cutting (pulling) his mane and doing dressage braids but it takes forever to grown back and i love his pretty mane. so i decided to do a double french braid! my first try ever!!

Ooh good luck! Tell us all about it!

I just got a Welara and I want to have her reg with the Sport Pony Registry, too. Also maybe my other Arab cross pony... But they have to have the applications in by Tuesday to avoid the 60 expedite fee (the one here is Nov 7) and I don't want to pay an extra $100 so I guess it will have to wait until next year! But I'm going to try to go watch to learn.

Oh, I wonder if faxed/emailed entries are allowed? Do you know? Do you know at what age they are no longer considred "youngstock?" My Arab/something is 4 years, would she need to do the undersaddle stuff this year? If not, would she next year? I can't get the rulebook to open :( I'm sure no one will be in the office Monday since it's a holiday... I JUST got my Welara yesterday and didn't even give this ANY thought until last night, and that's when I read about the 60 days and the date here, so I didn't purposely wait until last minute!

I'm not sure when there no longer considered youngstock i think 3 but i have no clue really. Onyx is 5 and he didn't have to do any under saddle stuff that is only for stallions. :) I mailed my enrtie in so i'm not really to sure, i bet you could fax it. I would call them and ask them. I called them because at first i thought i would have to ride Onyx and if i did i was going to wait tell next year but i guess that's only something stallions have to do. :)

just got home!! Onyx did amazing!!! He scored a 7.4 over all and is a Silver Premium! :) He was a lot calmer than i thought he would be and everyone loved him! there were only a few other sport pony's there and about a dozen warmbloods so it was a little weird standing next to 16-17H horses, and him only being 14H. I wasn't able to take any pictures since i was the one handeling him... I'm trying to find out if the photographer that was there has a web site but no luck finding anything yet, but i really hope i can! I'm sure he looked amazing! Only one sport pony was placed above him. :)

that's to bad, they seam to be famous for doing stuff like that. Have you thought about taking her to the RPSI Sport Pony inspection? they seam a little more on top of things than ASPR and the inspection is easier from what i could tell. :) ASPR ended up moving there inspection for us all the way down to Oregon... i was going to do ASPR tell i found out about RPSI. :)

thanks!! i decided to wait another year (maybe longer?) and get some more training put on him and get him in some shows. If he was taller i would really just keep him but i'm 5'7 and i feel weird riding him and i feel bad because he's so small. So really i would like to turn him into a nice kids horse then sell him, he's good for kids now he's just a little skittish and need some more experience. :)
