Stable Problems (sorry long)

Hey just wanted an opinion or two about the stable I use to ride at. I was hurt almost every other lesson and trail ride. I mean bucking horses, cut face, arms, riped clothing, broken hand, and on run away horses. Plus one girl was almost killed here, yet the instructor and owner sees nothing wrong with using every horse that is dropped off at her place. Some were abused, or have vices (like bucking uncontrollably at the canter). Yet she still has like 15 students, is is just me or is this place dangerous. That is just a short list of the may injuries no including the 5 or 6 times I was rushed to the hospital for major cuts and broken bones. I had been riding here for ten years until I broken my hand while holding a lead rope (I wasn't told the horse the scared to death to have its head touched.) Thanks and sorry it was so long.

This definitely sounds dangerous, I think it would be best to get out of there and find a place with a much higher level of safety. I've been riding for 11 years and only been hospitalized once, there is no reason for so many unnecessary injuries to be happening. It really just sounds like a bad environment to be in, and no one needs to be trying to learn to ride with that kind of danger looming over them.

How is that lady still in business?
A lesson horse should be a been there done that horse, who would sooner fall asleep than buck you off. I'm sorry, you had to go through all that. If you still want to take lessons, find a trainer who is certified and maybe ask if you can watch a few lessons she gives to other people.

How come you've been there for 10(!) years if it's so dangerous? Or it all started recently?

Why would anyone stay some where that is even half as bad as you describe this place to be?

And if you have been riding for 10 years I assume no one has to tell you that a horse is head shy, not to wrap the lead around your hand. That one is on you.

The only reason why I rode there for 10 years was because it was the past 5? That everything serious has happened. All her old school horses are in retierment, instead getting better ones well she didn't. I've been riding sence was 7, and the past two years I've switch to riding english to ride at a better stable it is farther away but I'm learning quickly. I guess why I asked was because I went back for a clinic (not with the instructor but on one of her horses) and it just reminded me why I left. You don't learn anything except how to stay on a bucking horse.

By the way the lead rope wasn't around my hand, I was tying the horse up when someone rubbed her head pulling my hand around the post.
