    I really, really like the pine wood pellets. Like Equine fresh or Woody Pet. They are super absorbant, really easy to pick through. When the horses walk on them after a while they break down and become sawdust like. Or you can put in the pellets and then sprinkle with water to make them puff up a bit, if you like them softer. I just like how neat they are, and don't get everywhere. I've tried the hay pellets, but I don't like the smell, it was kind of a moldy smell.

    My second favorite is the sawdust straight from the mill or not kiln dried. It's still absorbant, but it doesn't dry out the feet as much. It smells really good and it still has the resin from the tree sap, so it sortof moisturizes too. The only thing I don't like it that it has a tendency to freeze in the winter into a solid mass...
