starting over again

I got my new horses home on Saturday morning. So far they have been super. We rode a little Sunday & again for about 2 hours today. Calm, quite, wonderful boys.
One problem, they have never had their feet messed with. They are 15 & 17! The person I got them from said they always just let them wear down & would once in awhile nip them back. To me, their feet look horrible. Their flaring out at the heels & are full of chips. I tried to clean their feet tonight & man was it a fight. I finally had my old horse where both the farrier & I could do anything with him. I am not looking forward to starting over again with this!!!!
