    Angry Staying Black?

I have a black Quarter horse gelding and I am planning to show him a lot this year. I do not clip him because his coat is wonderful and I don't want his new coat to be dull. In shedding season his coat comes in black but after a week or so he beaches out! He seems to only bleach out on his barrel. Even in the winter he is black everywhere but his barrel and it looks horrible!

I heard paprika helps and I will use that. I am not into the supplements and my vet is not either she talked me out of using black as night since reports said it caused internal problems in some horses and I do not want to take the chance. I want to put a UV ray flysheet on him but I don't want him to sweat or get overheated but that will have to be the only solution since he is on 100% turnout.

Any tips that are natural? And when should I start feeding the paprika?

Hmmm never heard of feeind paprika? You mean like pepper? Yuek! My horse would spit it out Hmmmmmm, the only thing I can think of is a light canva rug that wont get too hot and wont make him sweat.
Sorry that's all I can think of at the moment but I will let you know if I think of anything ellse
