Steeple Chase

It was on tv today an I was wondering what your views on it? I personally think its horrible theres usually horses that fall at every jump and they and their riders could get seriously hurt.

Any form of horse racing is dangerous, im sure I read somewhere that horse racing was one of the more dangerous sports.
However the grand national has been going on for years, the first race was in 1836, and its classed as the one with most equine and human fatalities. (cant remember the number of jumps think it was 35)

Its horrible to see them fall, especially when one goes the rest trip over it.
The jockey that won it today has won over 3000 races i'm sure they said

Ya it somewhere between 30 to 35.
If he won that many that's amazing!!

Jumps racing is a great sport.
Its the thrill and the risks that make it so intresting.
Yes, horses get killed be doing this, but horses get killed in all types of situations.

In a jumps race at Oakbank about two weeks ago, two horses were put down.
However they got their injuries on the flat, not over the jumps.
Its just bad luck really, but these these happens.

Also, I hate the groups eg HorseRackingKills.
They have little knowledge about the racing industy.
They are just closeminded.

Just my two cents.

My dads daughter had 1 or 2 on the horse who won the grand national "dont push it" and she got back 17 or something, I think when they places the bet it was at something like 14:1 my horse came in 4 :(

Yeah the Grand National is dangerous but no horses or Jockeys were injured this year. Hear The Echo (RIP) died last year, tragically. Congrats Don't Push It and Tony McCoy who won the race yesterday . And well done the grey at the start who refused to run (that was a funny horse, lol)
