You all sound like my cat, he wanders over to the sundeck doors, has a look outside, "Phooey, still winter!". Turns around & heads to his cat condo for a snooze. But I do agree with all of you & the cat, I have had enough of it.

Gorgeous horse, love the photo. Makes me want warmer weather as well. I'd love to see my golden buckskin again. We just got more snow all night into this morning, wishing it would just leave I'm ready for the warmth!

Snow! Oh my! We didn't get any snow here in the low lands this year...guess it could still happen but so far none. I'm really very happy...just a mess once it starts to melt and then everything is slick as snot! No thanks! A fee frozen days I can deal with!
Today was a surprise! Just hoping it stays around all weekend so I can get more good dry rides in!

Sorry, but if it's raining where you are, it isn't cold!!! It's 5 freakin' degrees in New York City today. All the horse's water buckets keep freezing and they have solar heaters on them. To compound things, my friend sends me a text of her trail ride in Hawaii while I'm freezing my butt off bringing in firewood. Considering you could either be in a deep freeze or on the other side of the globe in wild fires, I'd take your rain and be happy with it! No sympathy from me woman!!

Today it was SUNNY!!!! And, a balmy -24*C with only the slightest wind! It was so nice! Not like last weekend with wind chill warnings of -45*C. I am really ready for spring! Come on April! Or maybe May! Or would that be June?

Yeah, it was 50 degrees a few weeks ago out of nowhere it was great! Last week we had -40F that wasn't fun now we're back to right around 0 for the most part, but with the new snow on the ground it feels a little warmer and riding in the snow is always fun. I'd LOVE to have it even be five degrees, wow that'd be nice. My gelding though thinks it's hilarious to mess with mom and tear up his stall because he would rather not be in anymore.

I gotta say that I don't miss Saskatchewan winters. Not that our winters here in Northern Alberta are much better, but holey moley does it get cold in Saskatchewan. I used to think that once it was -40, it all feels the same. Not true! Thank goodness it hasn't been that cold here... Yet...

As for spring, who knows when it will come. It seems we get a full 6 or 7 months of winter no matter what. We started in early October here so I'm hoping for an early spring. March would be just great.

It's at this time of year that I wonder why I don't move back down to the states! MT never got this cold! I do love it here but wouldn't mind it a bit warmer.
