Sun block

What sun block would you recommend for my geldings face? Mainly around his eye since he has pink eye lids, and his nose.

Most sun block is not ok around the eyes. As if to much of it gets into the eyes it can be bad. Its best to have a fly mask and just use baby sun block on his nose.

I have heard of people using zinc ointment for sunblock. It's terribly clingy/sticky so will probably stay on for quite some time. That said, it may be difficult to later remove from those areas without washing his head with shampoo (and risk getting it in his eyes). I would recommend a flymask which covers the nose with an extra piece of mesh.
