Super pony

Hello everyone im new!

Id like to tell you about a rescue pony iv been trying to break in.

She's a 6 year old pony about 12hh. She's very nervous of people and has been attempted to be broken in several times! She's been sent away to be professionally broken and has dumped every rider!!

We recently discovered she had a very bad back problem, which now has been sorted, but has left a lot of physcologial damage. :(

So iv sent alot of time trying to get her to trust me, she's super! Got an amazing cheeky character and I decided today was the day id get one of the kids on her... keeping in mind the last time one of them got on she reared nearly fell over backwards and took off round the school bronking!

She stood by the mounting block, a little jumpy, but me and rider calmed her, after the rider laid over her a few times I told her to get on....
With one clean leg swing she sat on Maisie, she jumped and was a little unsure. But she calmed very quickly and then the rider got off.

Im so happy with her, its the first time a rider has got off willing! Lol without being thrown.
Such a big step for the pony

Thanks for reading xx

Bless Your Heart for rescuing that pony. I love ponies. I had 5 horses and 1 pony, that I had bred from my first horse (he's also 12 hh) for my daughter to ride when she was little, when my daughter and her husband found this 13.2 hh spotted pony. He was pitiful. I don't think he would have made it 2 more weeks if we hadn't taken him. It's taken alot of patience and feed and gelding but he's coming around. The guy who had him said if we could get a halter on him we could have him. I had a halter on him in about 10 sec. You just have to be smarter than the pony! I found out latter that he'd had 5 grown men at one time try to put a halter on the pony and they couldn't!! So good luck with your pony and God Bless You.
