    I would just not ride with the person if I didnt live with the person.. trust me. And I did used to ride by my lonesome-- my horse died.. this is not my horse.. its the persons horse.
    Well, that makes a difference. Their horse, their rules generally speaking. Your roomie? Well, that sucks. But I had a roomie that I couldn't stand and we never did anything together.

    I find it rude to be ridin with someone and just hop on your horse and walk off.. why can't you wait for me to get on? Got a hot date? Lol.
    I'm not saying I'm going to take off down the trail without you, but I might well go and walk around a bit a ways away. That should not be an issue. If it is, then you need to continue to work with the horse. Unfortunately, since it's not yours and you don't like to ride with the owner, um, well, you're in a tough spot.
