Terrific Thundering Thursday

Kind of late to start a morning thread but I'll go ahead anyway.

Coffee and homegrown 'maters for breakfast. Just a warning, I eat weird stuff for breakfast. It is a lovely 85 degrees here in North Central North Carolina, we are supposed to have cooler temps the next few days. It has been in the upper 90's for a while now.

Got the backyard mowed, still have the side and front to do about 2 acres in all. Mopped the kitchen floor as well and now my hip is hurting like the dickens. Also got a rip roaring case of poison ivy all over! I think I must have picked it up from Kabota, he was out and about the other night and I am sure he got into some. I am miserable with it. I covered in pink lotion but I don't care.

New kitty is a real doll. She was abandoned and one of my coworkers found her outside the office last week. So of course, I took her home . I may have someone that will take her once she is bigger. So far she and Muffin (my Shih Tzu) are having a blast and Kabota is getting used to her as well.

Time for lunch! TTYS......

Here is my gang.......

awww... so cute.

I love how Kabota and Muffin are almost an "in your face" doggy type cute... and then there's Dani. Sit there, without a pose or anything, and already cuter than both dogs put together.

(heh... and I'm not a fan of cats... so that's a real compliment.)

Love the dogs though.

What are their breeds?

Ah yes, cooler weather on the way for us, too. Hopefully I'll be able to ride tonight without Stella and I being carried away by those vampire bugs.

Rum, what kind of dog is Kabota? I'm usually good at the breed guessing game, but I'm clueless on him. His face almost looks akita. Big fan of shih tzus! I have two mixed with poodle and I simply adore them. They go everywhere with me.

Stella - sweet, timid, elegant, lovely, lively, amazing
Luna - large, unattractive, naughty, adored

I made it, I made it! Thanks for the coffee! About that poison ivy...the pink stuff does me no good. The best thing I've found so far is Super Ivy Dry spray. (It's gotta be the super) I've got the ivy dry salve, and it doesn't seem to help me at all. Oh...and Poison Ivy pills help lots too. For prevention. They help you build immunity. I'd give you more info, but the truth is I gave them to the neighbor this year for their son. Poor kid. If it's even in the air...he's itching! Awwwww.

Thanks, as far as the pups, the only one we know about for sure is Muffin, she is a Shih Tzu, rescued her from some low lifes that had kids with issues that were practically torturing her. She was supposed to have papers but the low lifes never coughed them up. Doesn't matter, we didn't breed her and don't show.

Kabota........my guess he is mostly if not all Akita. He was dumped at a kill shelter and I was supposed to transport him from NC to VA where he was going to be fostered. I was already in love with him and once my hubby and daughter saw his pict they talked me into keeping him. That was last Thanksgiving. The vet in TN thought he was a St. Bernard and Great Pyrenees but someone on another forum suggested Akita, I started doing research and not only does he look Akita but he has the temperment as well. I just do not see any St. Bernard in him but possibly he could have some GP. You are so right about him being "in your face". LOL, I call him my fuzzy alarm clock! No batteries required, no electricity needed, runs on kibble and lots of love.

Taz.....we got him at the local shelter. Our vet said he is a "hound". LOL. I see Collie, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever in him and he has the low howl like bark that sounds like a hound dog so I would guess he has some of that to. He is very loving and has the goldie temperment.

PL.....my son is like your neighbor, he gets downwind of Poison Ivy and breaks out in huge blisters. I'll have to check into some of the stuff you recommended. I am using Ivarest now, our local little pharmacy has this awesome Poison Ivy soap, I usually keep some around but gave some to one of my co-workers a while back. I have to get somemore.

They are so adorable! :)
So, my friend's at Six Flags. I'm jealous :( I wanted to go, but she didn't invite me. LOL, 'cause she was going with her sister & her friends.
Ahh I'm pretty bored right now.

Ride more, worry less.
