Unhappy There's No one my age at my yard it boring !

okay, so i've been @ my yard for years since it was a stud! Then it became a riding school and even then everyone was older than me , so now its a livery yard and the person closest to my age is 19 and she's so far up her own arse that she wouldn't talk to me if she was going to die! The other people at my yard are nice appart from the yard owner she hasn't got a good word to say about anyone! But anyway I go on hacks with them and one is realy nice and we have lessons and stuff but they all have to be in and gone within 30 mins! Where when there was 3 teens there we spent all day at the yard grooming the ponies or hanging around at the yard! I want to be able to have fun again! With people my own age! Im part of the pony club but our rallys are 1 hour there no good! I realy miss the company of someone my age who is as commited as me to horses! Does anyone have any ideas on how I can meet morse people as horsey as me?!

Hey, you're lucky that there are "horsie" people that you can be around, even if they aren't your own age. I am completely alone nearly 100% of the time, except for a handful of rides per year.

Older horse-persons have a lot of knowledge that they could share with you--age shouldn't be a barrier for learning new things.

I know how you feel but charligirl is right at least you have horsie people. My horses are are at home with me and my non-horsie family. So I'm alone 98% of the time. I know some horsie people (all of which who are older then me) but I rarely get to see them. The only time I get to kind of hang with someone horsie is when I have my lessons. I'm not sure how you could meet more people though sorry

My two horse Apache and Sammy are my world
along with our dogs Patch and Bear.
But I will always love you Jimmy R.I.P

wow! That must be lonely! And I see what your saying about learning new things from them but theyre all quite novicey its quite scary tbh when a novice buys a £10,000 horse then makes it so its worth £200! Because I have my pony club c+ im technicaly not allowed to teach but I get to give lessons to some of the other liverys! Its quite scary when someone twice your age asks for advice on how to treat a cut or asks you to get it over a scary fence!! :) x

Im in the same situation, but everyones YOUNGER than me, they try to be really friendly with me but they are spoiled you can so tell and it can be really annoying, they're like 'Ughh Im not putting a saddle on I might break my nails' or 'Ew! Its got mud on it!!' and they're like 9.
You could ask your friends at school to start riding :) I've tried but they all go somewhere else and my best friend is allergic to horse. X

Enjoy The Ride
