Things you just can't get yourself to throw out

Does it ever happen?

I have a few pairs of old riding boots as well as half chaps I just cannot get myself to throw out. They are in rough shape and think I could use them in an emergency and just can't get myself to throw away.

Anyone have a similar problem of not being able to throw tack or other things out?

I'm a pack rat...I keep everything and anything. I get all these memories from stuff, and I want to keep them to remind me of those times. Ask my parents...they know how bad I am at keeping EVERYTHING haha

I see where you are coming from. With me it's not even that I have memories, I keep buying new things even when I don't need new gear or equipment so I don't know why I can't throw things out...

I have a tack box full of stuff AND a big tack trunk. Maybe I can find a place where I can donate this stuff?

I am a tack pack rat - I will buy things regardless of whether or not I have a horse at the time.

M2G, if you have boots in good condition (for the horse) I would be interested in buying them!

What about setting up a tack trade/buy/sell thingy here? I had a ton of things but when I moved out of my old barn, horseless, I donated a lot of it to the owner there. I now own a horse again and need a few things!!

I would be interested in the following:

- boots (horse)
- polo wraps
- blankets (gently used, or well repaired); summer and winter weights; slinkies to go underneath

.. I will definitely add more later!

LOL Horse boots and polos are the things I just keep buying and can't part with. I have a pair of shipping wraps that were used once. They quite expensive *Wrangler brand.
