Thinking of joining the english world! :-)

I have been thinking lately, about how I have lost interret in Western riding. I have always watched dressage or jumping and just loved the power behind it! It such a beautiful sport... so I plan to start lessons. All my ridig has been self taught but I'd like to do it right this time. Jumping is my ultimate goal I plan to sell curent riding horse seeing as how she doesn't quite meet my needs, and I don't have the funds nor the time for two horses and lessons. When I do get another horse, I would love to have an arabian, or a cross. I am in love with their movement annd spicy personalities, question is: in general, are arabians well suited for jumping? Also anny tips for the transition?

Sadly, as of this moment I cannot ride for at least four weeks due to a muscle in my hip slipping. Physical therapy doctor says no riding

Anyway, thanks for reading!

Thats not fun you cannot go riding for 4 weeks! I ride English and all i know. I am not to sure how to transition, but a few things is that when riding English unlike western you will have your legs bent so you may feel like you sit higher. Some new things you learn is posting and 2 point stance and there a little awkward to learn at first but youll get the hang of it. I am not a trainer, but some riders on here are and they can help you more.
