today was a good day

Sonny again is still amazing me...he stayed in a stall fine...other than being really vocal. I was able to tack him up in there and everything. I gave him his first hot mash (grain and hot water) and he loved it. I lunged him for a bit to see if he was hot off the grain but he wasn't so I saddled him up and got on.

At first he was crazy..he was so fast I passed every horse in the arena...including the fastest horse on the property...guess Sonny is now the fastest haha.

We were working on show stuff so we went through walk, sit trot, post trot, and canter. At first I didn't want to canter cause he was so fast...but after a while I asked for a canter and he was fine. He took the curves quickly, but not too bad.

But he was good...far better than I thought he would be.

Just had to share that with everyone

Aww; I'm glad it's going well with Sonny!
LOL that's funny; Lexi is the fastest horse @ my barn...she even beats one of the thoroughbreds!

Ride more, worry less.
