today i met the herd

So as some of you may have seen my other thread with my rant about my dad. Since then a few things have happened.

It was the dumfries guid nychburris on saturday, and me winning the open chase "the muckmans bell" has put me right in my dads good books, which makes things harder to leave, however after the parade day I went up to my mams bf's to meet the herd up there, and I can honestly say that those horses NEED the work, and alot are needing broken in or re-schooled. There was also a beautiful chestnut gelding that took my fancy so im going to ask about taking ownage of him in exchange for breaking in and working with the herd.

The ground up there is beautiful, there is hills that roll for miles with small burns and wooded areas. You could easily go out for a whole day riding without meeting any traffic or anything.
