Showing
That Vince Lombardi quote is the first thing one sees walking in my barn. It's on a big white board right in front of the door.

Good article!

This was a good article. I love the part about showing! I one time had an instructor tell another that she'd rather have her "Kids know how to ride and make the worst possible score at a show, then teach them how to show and win and look like pretty idiots".

I know quite a few "trainers" who push their students to show and never really teach them to ride. It's very disappointing. It's a rare gem when you have someone who makes good riding a priority over horse showing.
