I am so sad and angry. I'm seroiusly about to cry. I work at this Girl Scout camp with the horses. Anyways, long story short, I bought a saddle that I wanted to try on the horses. It was $75, which for me, being 15 and not having a job yet, is a lot. It was a whole afternoon of babysitting. Anyways, I emailed a person in charge and asked them if I could use my saddle on the horses. She emailed me back these exact words:
For insurance purposes, we are not allowed to use any tack that isn't owned by camp. I think this used to happen, but Council came out and said no because of the insurance concerns. We have goofed a couple of times and let HWs try different head gear, but we really shouldn't have. |
Additionally, since we teach western riding, we really should stick to western tack. Personally, I would love to see Spider in English tack as I think he would be gorgeous!
I am so upset! I feel like I bought the saddle for nothing now! I haven't bought a girth and pad yet, which is good, but I was really looking forward to riding English again. Geeze, I'm just so pissed and y'all are the only ones who will really care besides my friend Marie and she's not home.
Can y'all think of anything I can do?
