Anyone have any suggestions on books on horse behavior, or body language? I am trying to learn a little bit more about my guys and girls.

It kind of depends on the level of your experience with horses. Some books are not really digestable unless you have some experience with horses.

IN general, I like the books by Mark Rashid. I particularly liked , "horses never lie".
I am reading and rereading "True horsemanshipe through feel" by Bill Dorrance (or was that Tom?, they are brothers.)

If you really want to learn about your horses, put the books aside for an afternoon, take a lawn chair, some snacks, and a drink outside, and just sit and passively watch what they do and how they interact with each other. In my experience, too many people wind up expecting their horses to behave exactly the way they read about in books, and that's rarely the case.

Exactly :) You should also spend time with your horses. By reading books you can learn about horses in general, but your horse is your horse and it differs somehow from others ;)
But there are many books that you can read, I also recommend you books by Rashid. I like his point of view :)
And this book is good: Understanding the Ancient Secrets of the Horse's Mind by Robert M. Miller

I agree with just sitting and watching horses interact and how they behave, HOWEVER what we sometimes think we see, is not how horses see things and there may be some things you have previously been told by someone which might not be correct and might influence your thoughts, then your words, then your actions. We are predators and horses are prey, so often what we think is the opposite to how a horse thinks.
Personally, I like Rick Gore. Many do, many don't. But he has a website filled full of info and the videos on youtube have great info, especially the herd behaviour ones. He explains herd dynamics and what and why horses do things, why they stand a certain way, how and why they react to different situations etc. He debunks alot of the popular do's and don'ts in the modern horseworld aswell. He has a no BS approach to horses and nothing is sugarcoated so don't expect anything 'nice'. He tells it like it is.
