So the sheriff came banging on my door ( I am closest to the road) and asked to see my horses. When I showed her they were fat and happy she said well I am looking for the owners of that horse (skinny girl). I told her that they were the neighbors and she went and talked to them. I just went out and there was a note in the mailbox from a girl wanting me to call her about the condition of the horse. I told her the sheriff was out today but to not hesitate to call in again especially if she doesn't start improving :)

Also my mom was able to start radiation even thought they thing there is still a fracture and my uncle was able to have his stents put in and is doing well. I think we have also found a way to keep the horses :) It includes selling my horse trailer but we don't really go anywhere anyway and everyone that takes care of my horses come to me. I also have access to a couple of trailers if I really need them :)

More bad news though my mare cut her leg on something a couple of days ago pretty bad. It was healing up until I came home this morning and found she could hardly walk on it. Just waiting for the vet to come now.

I swear if it isn't one thing it is another

Yes!!!! Ughh she cut herself 2-3 days ago and I have been keeping it clean and doctoring it but it got infected anyway and is in the joint. Got to get her up to the vet here in a little while :(

Gah, when it rains, it pours. I hope she heals up well and quickly for you.

Yes it does. I hope that this is it for now. Lucy goes to the vet first thing in the am. I wasn't able to get her there before they closed this evening.

Well skinny mare is gone. I think that they moved her somewhere else out of site of the public. I had a note today in my mailbox asking about her too. I am not the only one who was worried about her. They had only been feeding her a little beet pulp 2 times a day and little to no hay. So I guess there is nothing more to do but home and pray that 1. She gains weight and 2. That she is not in foal and hope that the sheriffs dept follows up.
