Update on Jake - He put on weight!

So Jake has officially been with us for 1 week and 2 days! And he's doing fabulous! I thought I was going crazy thinking he had already put on weight until I took pictures today and compared them 2 the pics from a week ago! so here you go! The pics from today are crappy cause they were taken with my phone and it was dark in the barn cause it was raining outside. Anyway

Yes!! I can really tell the difference. His backbone is smoother and I can hardly see his ribs now. Great job.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Wow! Great job!

Do not follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail...

Hes getting a scoop of safe choice and 1/2 scoop of TC senior twice a day, hay 4 times a day and Hard Keeper weight building supplement. It all seems to be doing the trick! Gonna talk to the vet about starting light exercise to build up that topline and muscle up his butt

Something that he would probably benefit from is ponying him behind another horse for some very light, short trail rides. Just to get him out and get him active (at a walk anyway). You may want to wait a while before anything harder than really easy though just to be safe.
