    Update on the klutz

I finally had my follow-up appt. With the Dr. Today. He had been sick for a week so it took awhile. My back is healing fine. He said the little bones will always be floating around in there but if they don't bother me we won't worry about it. He said I still can't ride till after the 6-8 weeks are up I think I will shoot for the 6 weeks :) That will be the 29th of this month. There is a group that has a "frozen nose" ride on New Years Day, I hope to make it to that weather permitting. Thought I would let everyone know how I am doing. Back to lifting 50 lb. Bags of feed and driving again. I have a tall 4x4 truck which was pretty much impossible for me to get into without help. Guess what I did today after the appt.? WENT SHOPPING!

Lol. Nothing like retail therapy to make you feel better.

Seriously though, glad you're feeling better, and not confined to home anymore. Fingers crossed you're back in the saddle before the New Year.

Good to hear vida :) but don't you rush to get back in the saddle before you're properly fixed and hurt yourself more. Hope you make your new years ride though :)

Jazzy, you sound like my sister. I talked to her yesterday and she said just about the same thing. I do have a tendency to push myself too close to the edge so I will try to be good.

^^^ is your sister a smart woman?? Lol I understand though. I've had a bad back since birth. I was born with spinabifida but fortunately because I was premature it hadnt had the time to penetrate my spinal cord and they were able to remove it but it left my back very weak. Plus I have scoliosis which makes my back constantly hurt. When I was 9 the chiropractor said I should probably not ride but it didnt stop me then and it doesnt stop me now. I just try and be sensible about what I do...sometimes...kinda...sorta lol

But yes, you try and be a good girl ;)
