    Update on Ruby and Coyote

I finally got my parents to take my horses to the vet (it was like pulling teeth). I mainly wanted to get Ruby preg checked, but figured at the same time I'd send Coyote in for a tooth checkup and sheath cleaning.

First off my mum called the vet at Kelvington but they don't handle horses. He suggested the vet at Ebenezer. So I paid my parents to take them there.

Firstly. He said both horses looked good.
He looked at Ruby and said that she isn't bred. I guess she is very trim and there is no way she is preggo.
She has a little cyst of some sort on her jaw, and he looked at it and said it's draining well and not to mess with it. He said that she had some bad stuff in her system and this is how it is getting out.

He rasped a few sharp edges off Coyote's teeth. Said that they weren't bad at all. Silly horse didn't like his tongue being held (not that I blame him), so he had to be tranqed enough to make him woozy.
He also cleaned Coyote's sheath and said that it was very clean. He was pretty surprised about how clean it was. I'm pretty sure it's never been cleaned.

All in all, they said Coyote looks amazing for a 13 year old (I didn't think that was too old), and Ruby, besides of needing a little more weight, looks good as well.

I am happy to know that they are tip top! Can't wait to go home for a few days after the 26th and see them!

Good news is always welcome, I'm sure. If this is the first time you've used this vet then it's a step to building a relationship with him for future needs.
