Hello there again !
It's been such a long time since I've even popped onto this forum, but I figured why not..I guess I have alot to update you all on and I'm not exactly sure where I should start.
In October 2011, I had to put Indigo down, I'd rather not get into details but since you all have known him when I got him, I figured I would share. I believe though, it was colic for the most part.
Now, I have actually moved out from my dads place, and kind of am 'finding my way' through everything. I moved out to Quebec for about two months then came back, tried to live with my dad again and things kept going down hill. So now, I have moved out for good.
I wasnt horseless during the time Indigo was down, Actually I had quite a few horses... It took me awhile, but now I have Demetrius(Demitri for short).
I had a surgery at the beginning of July 12th, which has put me off riding since then to now, and I've slowly been going back into it, even though I am not really supposed to but I am nearing healing actually now, and there has never been any raised alarms as to why I shouldn't continue doing so at this moment.
Demitri, Is kind of my love. He's a 19 year old(I wasn't expecting that when I purchased him to be honest, I worked with rescue horses and fell in love with him ) QH x TB.
I didn't know his owner, but I posted an ad and I had found her, and since then everything has fallen into place. He's been around to do everything and doesn't act like he is even 19 :) I am so glad to have him, He's a very sensitive horse.
On the most part, I will probably be coming around for advice as time comes so that I can improve more, Now that I've moved to a barn, I can finally take my lessons so I can improve which makes me really happy (:
I've been working at trying to concentrate on myself, and riding much more as of late, and getting rid of negative influences and I have to say, As hard as some of the decision I've had to make... They've honestly turned out to be the best decision I have made.
Anyways, here is Demitri (: I'm hoping to start showing him next year, right now we are just trying to get him up to par on conditioning, as he is slightly underweight. But he has gained some since being at the barn which I am very happy about (:
