VERY happy...

Ok, well this year, as some of you may know, I have being doing a Cert 1 in Stablehand via VET (Vocational Education Teaching?) on Fridays as part of my studies.... Well just last week I have found out, after going for over half a year, that the head of organising the VET courses for our school did NOT enrol me for the paperwork side of the course - so you might as well say I just did workplace experience... which was doing stuff I already knew.. aka no beneficial part, apart from being with the horses so I might as well have just been using that valuable time on my studies… and horsing around after school – not to mention I don’t cope as well with the whole, “racehorse get rid of” process... I will also be down 20 points in my SACE (we need a certain amount to pass into year 12..
WELL….
Mum ran around for me whilst I was at school (Go mum!! ) and went to the people I am working for and let them know what is going on. They agree that the lady who was meant to organise my TAFE part has stuffed up – seems not the first time…hence they think she is a bit of a time waster... Well what the awesome part? The people I am working for NEVER do apprenticeships… Guess what… THEY offered me an apprenticeship position for next year AND I can stay for the rest of this year!!! So excited! The only down side is that among other things (I am comfortable with) I have to do a little bit of track work… racehorses you say…why yes. Little me (5’9 so a bit exaggerating…lol) hasn’t ridden forward moving horses before so I explained my worries and… I’m getting LESSONS to brush up on my skills and to help regain a bit of my confidence – then I will go to the track and do some LIGHT track work under the lady’s guidance (from where I have been working). I’m really excited... I’ve never had lessons (well… I’ve had ones from friends but no one like this!) and this may sound a posh, but I’m getting private hour lessons So happy… I reckon this will really help me as it will be one on one and it will work better for name that way I reckon. Whee… yeah… kind of hyped... mum just said my first lesson is this Friday at 10am!!! Im getting roughly 10 one hour lessons – money limits us as they are $55 a hour private lesson and I have to take it out my car money, so we have a limit – but I’m hoping we may get a special ..12 for 10 as they do specials like this…we’ll see
Im just really excited.. I was saying that its alot of money and what does my mum say?

"horses are your life workign goal right?" Me: "YES!!!" Mum: "Then its worth it.. work your butt off on thses lessons"

Teacher stuffed it, not betting my Cert 1. They wont let me do the Trainee, sadly, as they preffer to go through a certain program, which they are not offering right now.

I am continuing my lessons, extremly peeved about my whole years work to not get my cert 1 :(
