Wanna see?

A couple years ago we had a bad storm right before a draught, it washed the couldron out of our pond and it started draining into the creek. My old Blackhorse went down to lay when the temp was in the 100's and got stuck. The fire department took pix of the rescue.... wanna see? They'll make your tummy sick though....

PS - shortly after we ripped the heart out of the pond and let it's evil life's juices flow into the creek that feeds the Potomac so the pond is now more.....

He does still cool off in water, but now he has no pond, just a 3 inch creekbed.

Omg how scary!!!

Years ago there was a place a few blocks from where I boarded my horse - this place had a pond in the middle of the pasture. Well, one winter a horse walked out on the frozen pond during the night, fell in & froze to death over night. Very sad.

After that, they did the wise thing and filled in the pond. :(

I always wondered why in all those Beautiful fields that farms have there is almost ALWAYS a fence around the ponds... I always thought, now why would you take that away from the animals??? Here's your answer!!!

Wow! That must have been really scary! Do you know how long he was in there for?

I'm glad that didn't scare him away from water.

That does look like some ordeal. Glad the firemen were able to help out.
