Recently I bought Cyclone in a claiming race and set about retraining her for show jumping. She proved to be a natural at it and soaked everything I taught her up like she's a giant sponge. Since she was doing so well I decided to enter her in a horse level that had an adanced rider green horse category. Cyclone jumped clean at 3' 6" and went to the jump off round where she soundly beat two other horses. When the judge clipped the blue ribbon on her bridle she seemed to know that she was in the spot light. I don't know when our next show will be but I plan on going a little higher and maybe not enter her in a green horse event. She seemed so unfazed by everything, probably used to the commotion from her days on the track, that I don't think I have to worry about her being spooky near more elaborite fences. Then again she will be worked with odd jumps at home.
While I search for good pictures of our first show here are two that were taken at another show just yesterday. Now that I am looking at these new pictures I've noticed that her lighter muzzel is more visible then in the one picture above. The first picture I posted of her, her muzzle looks a lot darker.
