Watching the Olympics ...

It's midnight, and I've just made some bread dough and stuck it in the fridge and joined my best friend in watching the dressage. We're comparing notes via MSN - I'm testing out my knowledge and having a go at evaluating the performances :) I may stay up until 3am, when it finishes ... but it's looking good now. Though the freestyle is a little more interesting as it's not the same test each time.

My mum saw one of the horses doing a half-pass and said, "That's what you've been doing!" It was so sweet of her to pay attention to things like that, when she has no interest in them for herself xD I explained the difference between a leg yield and a half-pass and she joined in with the commenting for a bit.

So far my favourite bit of this test is the extended canter. It's so beautiful. Otherwise the routine seems a bit boring! Come in, do some stuff in trot, have a walk on the long rein, do some work in canter, end.

If you believe everything you read, better not read.
