Are we bad

as some of you may now, me and my gf picked up a filly in march and we have been trying to figure out the breeding on her (got her from a lady who owned her for a week, not the breeder). Well we tracked down the breeder and last saturday we went down there "pretending" to be interested in a colt that was foaled this spring out of our fillys dam and sire. After tire kicking around for a hour asking a bunch of questions, we asked if he was registered (knowing he wasnt) and she said no but I can register him, so we asked to see the dam and sires papers, which took a little convincing, but she eventually showed us. We took pictures of the papers, (not even in her name) and left.

Im excited we got to find out the breeding of our little filly, but at the same time I feel like a big time liar. I have this lingering feelig that what we did was wrong in some way. Maybe its because I was raised to never go in a store unless you have the money to buy something, no window shopping lol.

Anyway my gf thinks its no big deal,

What do you guys think

THAT WAS YOU??? Wait till I get... Kiddin LOL while I wouldn't apreciate being led on like that to extract info, did you consider just telling her outright what you wanted? Just wondering why the masquerade when she might have given the same info under the real circumstances. Anyone who breeds should be willing to show pedigree, IMHO. I don't think I'd lie to get it but I might think about it real hard.. No harm done but to your conscience, can you live with it??

My Vet and Farrier are currently splitting my childeren's inheritance.

Sorry guys I left the most important part out, we had called and emailed and tried for a couple months to get this info from her, and after the last call she told you were to go and how to get there, she had never met us, thus the masquerade

Well, if she told you where to go, and how to get there... The least you could do was tell her thanks :/
Evil maybe..... But who isn't just a little evil?

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Pretty sneaky, no harm done, I am impressed.

I don't see why she didn't just tell you to begin with. Would have saved a lot of hassle.
