Talking We had a break through today!

So my moms horse, Legacy is a bit of a disrespectful jerk because she does nothing with him. I have my own horse to work(boarded 20 minutes away) plus a family so I don't have a whole lot of extra time to work with her horse. I do all the feedings during the week and when I go up to give Legacy a bit of a pat he will turn his butt to me as soon as he sees me coming. Last week I finally got tired of it and starting shooing him away as soon as he turned his put towards me. At first he would run off in a hissy fit kicking, bucking, shorting. I would keep at it until he would allow me to walk up to him, usually took quite a few tries. Well today I went out and went to walk up to him and I saw him thinking about turning his butt towards me, and then he changed his mind and stood for me to come up to him. I gave him a pat and went to get food ready, came back out while Blue's food was soaking and went to go up to him again, he turned his butt towards be so I shooed him and he trotted a few steps, then turned towards me and waited so I walked up and pet him, then walked away and he followed me so I pet him again and then walked away again and again he followed me . Now if only I could get my mom to be brave enough to work with him. June will be 2 years that we've had him and she's only been on him once when I pretty much had to force her to get on.
