well going to have a chat with the BO tomorrow

And NOT looking forward to it

I pulled a copy of the boarding agreement that we all signed at the beginning of boarding and when I read the feeding agreement I knew it was time to actually have a long talk with her.

For the boarding contract it said Sonny was to get "unlimited hay"
Well I was talking to a barn friend and she said that the BO is only giving him maybe 3 flakes per feeding (so 6 flakes all together)

Sonny is still aweful ribby...and though I've been throwing in extra hey for him, I can't go up there every day to do so...and I want to be able to reply on the BO to put hay in there for him.

Since his pasture has no grass hay is really all he gets...he'll be going into a pasture filled with grass for 30 minutes each day I'm up to graze but then back in his pasture.

The only thing though is that I'm HORRIBLE with words and would probably either look stupid while trying to say something or won't be able to think of the right word (I'm NOT a public speaker at all)

So hopefully my mom will come and help me with everything...but I'm just soo nervous!!

Wish me luck and be thinking of me and Sonny tomorrow!

I'll definitely let everyone know how it went...I'm hoping we won't have a problem at all with it......hopefully.

I mean one of the other horses practically gets unlimited hay so I don't see why she can't throw in some more for Sonny...not like she doesn't have alot of hay already

Yeah because if he is on a pasuture with no grass he needs hay all the time not just 3 flakes

Totally and that's why we put the unlimited hay in the boarding agreement...
How much do you think "unlimited" do you think just throwing in a whole bale in the morning and at night would do it?

I want to be able to give her a figure since she does piano all during the day...

Well im guessing she does square bale? Maube giving him 3 bales and maybe that will last him until she get done with her lessons?

Is there anyway she could get some round bales for him?

She doesn't like using round bales...not sure why though...I'm thinking of maybe just throwing in two and see how long that last him and if it doesn't last add half a bale in and so on

from what my BO said every round bale she got, from a couple of place even, was wonderful on the outside and funky on the inside. NOT saying that in any form of defence as your BO needs a good talking to from what I have read, but I am saying it so you don't get the shaft and some funky musty hay...just what I've heard though...I'm a square bale kind of girl anyways...Good luck talking to her I hope you get it all worked out!
