Well, Zeus leaves tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow morning Zeus leaves to go back to his owner in Tallahassee. When we first started leasing him, over a year ago, we intended to purchase him and for him to have a forever home. Things changed, however, and we were no longer able to afford me going to college and Zeus. So one had to go.

He'll be happy with Liz (his owner) and with the new lessee, but I'll miss him like crazy. There's a small chance that if I find a job quick enough when I move that I might be able to get him back, but it's not very probable. He will also be up for sale, so if he's sold he's sold. I honestly don't care as long as he has someone to love on him, and I know Liz would only sell him to the best of homes.

I'll also be able to visit him if I wish as he'll only be a few hours away.
But for now, it's goodbye, and I'm so grateful tot have had this wonderful horse for as long as I did.

I know I'm going to start bawling tomorrow when he gets on the trailer, but it's for the best.

Here's some of my favorite pictures of us.

First time I met him.

First ride at home.

Riding in the pouring rain.

Being classy.

Zu's 11th birthday.

Being a cuddlebug.

And the most recent ones.

And now I'm crying.

I'm so sorry =[

Thanks drybones. I don't want this post to be an "oh feel sorry for me" thing because I've known for a while that this would happen, just had to share and get it out, y'know? :/

It SHOULD be. Especially here, where people understand the connections that you have with horses. I'd seriously go out and buy some chocolate ice cream if I were you.

Ha ha. I would soooo do that if I hadn't been eating so healthy lately!
Although this probably calls for some serious distraction tomorrow.

Maybe a "let's have a raging party to forget about our troubles" party? I'm good at those.

Well im very sorry :( but when you get down here if you get horsey sick and want to ride feel free to come to my place and we'll go riding! :)

Foxy that would be really cool. :]
I probably will want to start lessons once i've settled in too. Want to keep riding for sure.

No prob I can give you discounted lessons! I've started the boys taking dressage lessons with a good friend of mine that competes in high level dressage so it could be fun. And of course fun jumping stuff!

Sorry things did not work out like you hoped. Glad the owner found another person to lease that seems like a good match. At least you know he is being properly cared for while you are at school.

Foxy- That would be amazing. I'll be sure to keep in touch.

And Always, I agree. What makes it okay is that he'll continue to be happy and spoiled.
