Western Pleasure

What's happened to western pleasure these days? It's gotten WAY to slow, and the horses are hardly doing true gaits. It used to be a lot faster, but still relaxed. Some horses would be able to lope pretty slow anyways, but the western pleasure lope is ridiculous! My horse walks faster than that.
It's a shame we can't show off our horses' true gaits; everythings about being trained to go slow now.

I like it... haha. I just see amazing collection in the truly talented ones. I think a tad bit faster might be better, but it goes through phases and trends.

What bugs me is how slow hunter under saddle has become for the stock horse breeds.

The biggest thing that bugs me is how behind the vertical horses get. I really like my horse to watch where it's going, not stare at it's feet. Maybe that's just me.
