We actually usually rename all of our horses when we get them. No matter the age. We give them a new name to create a new bond. And a new start.

I try not to change my horses names because some of them will come actually gllaoping at their name (haha which is really funn) but I havent actually had a horse that I didnt like his/her name, I don't think its any biggy to change their name at any age. Don't worry, I they couldnt learn a new name after the age of ten that would mean they couldnt learn after ten, which would mean no one would buy horses over ten. Lol

If there are no horses in heaven... im not going.

If the horse does not answer to his name, I don't think it matters at all.
